Enjoy Fun and Games at Home with Your Own Pool Table

Americans have been stuck at home since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. If you are one of the many hoping we’ll see fun and games on the table in 2021, you may have to wait a little longer. (Unless, of course, you are a glass half full kind of person and you took matters into your own hands and put a board game on the table and gathered the family around for some homegrown fun.)

Many stores still are operating on a limited schedule of hours and concerts and festivals may still be on hold, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Head out for a Game in New York

An article on NewYorkUpstate.com reads, “Grab your cue. Break out the darts. Get a hold of that axe. Pub games like pool, darts and axe-throwing are set to resume, with restrictions, in New York on March 5, according to new guidance released this week by the state Health Department. The fine print on the rules came after Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s announcement Monday that pool / billiards halls, along with movie theaters, could reopen on March 5 with certain restrictions.”

The restrictions include social distancing between pool tables and mask-wearing by players. Under the mandate, bar owners must “rigorously clean and disinfect any rented or shared equipment (e.g., bowling balls, bowling shoes, pool / billiard cues, pool / billiard racks, or throwing, tossing, or other game objects) between each patron’s / player’s or party’s use.”

That means, if you go out to play a game of pools, the cues and balls – and even the chalk must be cleaned in between games.

You can still have plenty of fun at home, however. We have pool tables for sale – both new and used pool tables that will fit most any budget and that will let you enjoy the game of pool in the safety of your own home. And, if pool isn’t your game, we also carry 3-in1 poker tables, air hockey tables and other game tables.
